Southern Ukraine Conflict: Reports of Casualties from Russia and Ukraine

In the escalating conflict in southern Ukraine, casualties have been recorded in both Russian and Ukrainian territories. A local Russian-appointed official, Vladimir Rogov, reported Friday's incident of shelling in the Russian-controlled port city of Berdiansk, situated on the Sea of Azov, which left nine people injured. Rogov attributed the strike to "militants of the Ukrainian Armed Forces."

Berdiansk, located about 100 kilometers (approx. 62 miles) from the front line and deep into Russian-held territory, lies on the coastline from Mariupol. This area is suspected to be a key target in Ukraine's planned counteroffensive. If the Ukrainian forces were indeed responsible for the alleged attack, the probable choice of weaponry would be Storm Shadow missiles.

In a separate incident in the settlement of Komyshuvakha, southeast of the city of Zaporizhzhia, four civilians were injured, and two women lost their lives, according to Yurii Malashko, head of the military administration in Zaporizhzhia region.

Further, the regional police of Zaporizhzhia have noted "189 hostile attacks" on civilian settlements within the past 48 hours, causing damage to residential structures and homes.

Ukraine is just attrition war fair. Make Russia pay more for each day than Ukraine. F-14 s should be the goal not F-16s . A private standing in a trench can fire and forget a stinger missle. for his trouble he earns a killed tank or a killed helicopter. America can kill a SU35 with a stinger on a F-14. Even a guy with mud on his boots and in his hair can do that. Vought F4U Corsair 2 is fast and expendable. It is known for getting the pilot home. It has a bathtub built in to protect the pilot.

You and your grand maneuver warfare southeastward slash obsession, Paul, I see right through you ;P Seriously though, good work, thanks for the find --- although the ville in Zaporizhia got hit by the Russkies, it's UKR controlled.
